bottoms up

i forgot to let you know how the underlashes went! well, they didn't go very well. they looked a bit stupid on me, and way too dramatic, and i did not end up looking like twiggy. instead, it looked like my top eyelash had fallen off and stuck onto the bottom by accident. i didn't wear them, as you can imagine, but by all means, i do recommend them if you are going for a dramatic make-up look as i still think they can look great. however they weren't as unpredictable as the party i went to which the lashes would have escorted me to- the night consisted of a birthday party on a barge, union jack themed, a roasted pig in the middle of the dancefloor, and dwarves serving canapes from a tray on their heads- very out of the ordinary for me. however, my shoes were quite comfy, with a little help from party feet.

my union jack nails!

the PIG!

these are the lashes i bought, from superdrug.
they cost £7 all together- the price also includes the top lashes- i wouldn't recommend the top lashes.

marcel marcel

i've looked on youtube and everything, but still can't quite get the hang of how to do a marcel wave.i'm not going for the full on pin-up girl, i want to try the new marcel wave, an updated less dramatic style.

rosie huntington whiteley has got the classic style spot on. i wish my hair was this long to do this.

sarah jessica parker gives a modern twist on the marcel, with a softer, brushed out look.

i also love that little classic barrel curl at the front of the hair, which surely can't be too hard to do?
i really love this, and with a bit more wave and undercurling to the hair, the look will be finished. if i succeed in any of these, i will let you know how i did it (with probably many attempts).
if my mum succeeds in any of these, i will let you know how she did it!

indian summer

this week, god brought the uk a HEATWAVE! about time? however, this has been sprung upon us as soon as autumn comes along and all my winter clothes come out. as it is so unexpected, i am still doing wintery things, like....shivering.

anyway, due to this being just sprung upon us without us even being asked, i have a dilemma, as i found a beautiful dress for the wedding, which can be found below:

don't you agree? its from asos, £45, and is a kind of raspberry colour, which i don't usually wear- exactly the right reason to buy it. i didn't want to go for the norm. anyway, i trolled through millions of dresses before i found this one, as soon as i saw it i knew this is what i would wear! i think asos have kind of took the scalloped v-neck idea from the royal wedding dress, along with the sleeves, which i find just magical! #whodoesn'twanttobeKATE?

i was planning on wearing it with those leopard and black heels i showed you earlier, which was even more perfect. it came, and was way too short. which is just great. a bit of a pain, so my only solution was to wear tights, which is fine i thought, as were going into winter! solution, yay! i was totally wrong, as we are now currently in the middle of the hottest weather ever.

i had to order another one just in case i get too hot. my nana said i will be fine if i cool myself down with a drink- i'm not banking on this.

i ordered this one-

which is also beautiful, but you know when you have a look in your head of what you want to go for on the day? and in your head you look like a celebrity (or even the princess) and to be honest you look nothing like a celebrity (or the princess)? well yeah, this isn't the dress in my head. i find this dress a bit boring, but the back detail is beautiful-maybe i will stand with my back to people all day, and just crook my neck towards them- but i thought i could fifties it up a bit, with some red lipstick and vintage curls (i don't know how to do these- mum?!). now the look in my head has just turned into me, sailing around the set of pearl harbor in my dress and red lippy, with josh hartnett on my arm. #needtobemorerealistic

to behonest, i doubt it is going to arrive on time anyway. rant over. wish me luck!x
