where did the weekend go?

i spent my friday night out in manchester, at factory 251 watching a great band BLACK LIGHTS- (also a good friend of mine- #bias). after the gig me and my friends headed off to an irish bar, did a bit of line dancing, and then to a chinese in china town at 2.30 am- #aside from desperate times, i would never go to a chinese retaurant called BBQ. a very good night, with very good feet clothing choices- i wore my chelsea boots instead of heels, which i rarely do when i go out, however a very wise choice when walking around manchester at 2am. factory was good, however the same old as everywhere else.

spent my saturday night with the boyfriend eating indian food and sleeping after a long day at work, and headed off to the trafford centre today with mum and dad after reluctantly and gladly refusing to stay at my boyfriends for the day during an old firm game. #wise choice as they lost.

i decided to myself that i needed some new heels as none of mine seem to be comfy enough to wear, which is always the case. so i bought these-

they were £65 from topshop which is pretty cheap for topshop, i was expecting them to be like £80 or something. and they were brand new in, nobody had tried them on and had their feet in them which is dead nice, i was the first to place my feet into them. i dont buy heels a lot, i have 3 pairs which i mix and match with everything, this has been the case for three whole years.

i also bought these, i really love them. i saw them in river island and had a little debate to myself, so walked out of the shop and went for something to eat whilst i debated which wasnt a wise choice. whilst i was eating, i decided they would be perfect for my night out tomorrow night, so i got into a bit of a fluster that none of my size would be left. anyway, there were loads of my size left, which is always nice.
£40.

other purchases without the boring details;

£27 with student discount, New Look

Topshop Boutique-£20
pricey for a vest top, but very good quality and shape-i already have it in black

off to a union jack themed party tomorrow night, starting at 5! wish me luck, ill let you know how it goes (and if my shoes are actually comfy)

how hard can it be?

i wear false eyelashes everyday, purely due to the fact i hate putting mascara on! it doesn't suit me at all and makes it look like i've got no make-up on. i love the fact false eyelashes are now in fashion! throughout the day i usually wear pretty natural looking ones, and take them off at night. i can apply the individual lashes quite well, however i am giving my eyelashes a rest. i work at my mums hair salon whilst at uni, and the girls are always asking me to put their eyelashes on for them as they find it hard to do. heres a few handy tips;
-before doing anything, measure the eyelashes to your own, and cut them down if needed- this will stop them from poking in your eyes
-once youve applied the glue onto the eyelash, let it dry for about 30 seconds or a little longer
-if youve put quite a lot of glue on, run your finger along it and get rid of the big blobs
-always use tweezers to apply the lashes to your eyes
-close the eye that your putting the eyelash on, and keep the other one open (i know this sounds silly, but it is harder to put the eyelash on whilst your eye is open)
-false eyelash strips can be re-used for about 3 weeks- i just pick off the glue!

for the falsies virgins-

these ARDELL 113 eyelashes are my favourites and are from boots- for a reasonable £5.09.

my night out favourites-
these eylure 147 lashes are my favourite to wear on a night out- i like false lashes to be quite wispy, giving a more natural and fluttery effect. these lashes cost £5.00 from boots or superdrug.

i also bought some eylure under-false-lashes for a party i am going to tomorrow night. it is my first time wearing them so ill let you know how it goes! i got them from superdrug, they came with upper lashes for £7.00.
